Spokane, WAâWith frigid temperatures and a blanket of snow in Spokane, it may take a leap of imagination to realize spring isnât far off, and with it the 35th annual Lilac Bloomsday Run. But to help fortify New Yearâs resolutions to get in shape, early bird registration for Bloomsday is now open at www.bloomsdayrun.org. Those who sign up by February 13th will have a chance to win an Apple iPad courtesy of Strong Solutionsâ1718 E. Sprague.
Â
âEarly entry to Bloomsday can solidify anyoneâs New Yearâs resolution to get in better shape,â said Lilac Bloomsday Association President Carol Hunter. âAnd we hope that having a drawing for an iPad will create some additional motivation to sign up early.â
Â
Everyone who enters Bloomsday online through February 13th will be automatically entered in the iPad drawing. The iPad is being offered by Strong Solutionsâan Apple Authorized Reseller and Service Provider. Strong Solutions specializes in sales, service and repair of Apple products, also offering classes, in-home and on-site service, consulting and solutions. Those signing up for Bloomsday will also have the opportunity to add a donation to Hospice of Spokane, which has been selected as Bloomsdayâs official charity for 2010. Hospice of Spokane was among the first hospices in the country and has served the Greater Spokane area since 1977. They are nationally recognized as experts in helping people handle end-of-life issues with grace, dignity, comfort and peace of mind.
Â
âWe hope our entrants will be supportive of this excellent charity,â said Hunter. âWe encourage our participants to add a donation to Hospice when they sign up for Bloomsday.â
Â
